There is no right or wrong number of Goals and Stories to add to your Impact Profile, but you should aim to have at least 1 Goal and at least 2-3 Stories linked to your Impact Profile so that you can leverage all of the Impact Profile’s core features.
Unlike a static grant application or annual report, your Impact Profile is designed to be dynamic, so that the story of impact you are telling can update along with your qualitative and quantitative data.
If you are including a Goal that has many Indicators, then it might want to include only 1 Goal as part of your Impact Profile. On the other hand, if most of your Goals only have 1 or 2 Indicators, then it could make sense to share multiple Goals.
The most important consideration is whether you can regularly update the Indicators for the Goal(s) you are sharing publicly. Depending on the Indicator, you can aim to add new progress updates every week or every month.
Some Stories that are added to your Impact Profile might maintain relevance while other Stories might become less relevant over time. Stories can be especially successful when they add context to the Goal(s) you are sharing, and bring to life the story of impact you are communicating through your entire Impact Profile.
Stories have to be manually added or removed from displaying on your Impact Profile on the Impact Profile edit page. In the same way that you can consistently schedule time to add progress updates to your Indicators, you should consistently schedule time to add new Stories to your account and review which ones are the most compelling fit to include in your Impact Profile.
